VBS 2023
FAChurch's 2023 Vacation Bible School was held Tuesday, June 20th to Thursday, June 22nd in the mornings from 8:30am to 11:30am at the main church on Cheyenne Avenue.
Over 60 children from Pre-K to 6th grade at the end of the school year attended!
This year's theme was "Keepers of the Kingdom: Standing Strong in Today's Battle for Truth."
Our theme verse was Ephesians 6:11 "Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil."
The children learned about the love of Jesus, and that they can be part of God's kingdom through salvation in his Son and be equipped with the armor of God to become Keepers of the Kingdom who stand strong in today's battle for truth.
Throughout the week the children learned through Bible verses, stories, songs, games, and craft projects. We ended the week (3 days) with a picnic lunch and epic water fight!
On Thursday night, June 22nd, at 7pm, we closed our week with an Open House Program for children, their families, and friends. The overflowing crowd of children, family, and friends was amazing!
The children entertained us as they shared songs and the theme verse they learned during the week. After the Program we enjoyed additional fellowship with a cookie social and a certain pastor and Dave K. took pies to the face to celebrate the children raising $345.88 or 1384 meals for The Children's Hunger Fund in just 3 days!
Our hearts are full.
