Book of Deuteronomy | Chapter 6 | Verses 6-9
"These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframe of your houses and on your gates." - Moses
FAMILY MINISTRY | WHAT IS IT & WHAT IS THE END GOAL?
Family Ministry is the purposeful, intentional effort by FAChurch to synchronize church leaders, church volunteers and parents around a master plan to build faith and character in their sons & daughters, leading them into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
FAMILY MINISTRY | WHY?
1) Kids need parents who will help them advance in their relationship with God.
2) Parents need healthy, vibrant churches that will help them know how to navigate life and be spiritual leaders in the home.
3) Churches need leaders to lead with a deep compassion for the family; doing less for kids and more for the entire family.
THE NEEDS OF CHILDREN & STUDENTS | 5 ESSENTIALS
A REALLY BIG GOD THEY CAN TRUST NO MATTER WHAT
Kids should grow up knowing that God is big enough to handle whatever they may face.
SOMEONE ELSE WHO BELIEVES WHAT THEY BELIEVE
Kids need friends who will encourage them to grow in their faith.
ANOTHER VOICE SAYING THE SAME CONSISTENT THINGS THEIR PARENTS ARE SAYING
As kids get older, it becomes more important to have other adults of character in their lives as spiritual leaders and mentors.
UNCOMMON SENSE TO HELP THEM MAKE WISE CHOICES
God's point of view and His Truth should become the filter.
NOSY PARENTS WHO KNOW WHERE THEIR KIDS ARE SPIRITUALLY
Intentional parents spending time together with their kids and staying actively involved in their spiritual growth.
